Fomo fees, explained
Fomo charges 0.50% per trade on Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and Arc, plus network fees. Solana uses route-based pricing with minimums, and select major tokens cost 0.05%. Sign up with a referral code such as theses and the standard rate becomes 0.45%.
Fomo's trading fee schedule
| Where you trade | Fomo's fee | With a referral code | Network fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, Arc | 0.50% per trade | 0.45% | Paid by you, shown in the quote |
| Solana | Depends on the route (see below) | Not documented for minimums | Covered by Fomo |
| Select major tokens (shown on the token page) | 0.05% per trade, with a minimum on small trades | Not documented | Depends on chain |
| Perps (not available to US persons) | 0.05% per trade, plus Hyperliquid's fees | Not documented | Not applicable |
A fee is charged on each trade, so a buy and a later sell are two trades. Before you confirm, Fomo shows a quote with the expected value of your trade. If the fee summary shows two lines, one is Fomo's fee and the other is the network fee, which goes to the network rather than Fomo.
What the 10% referral discount saves
Fomo says users who sign up with a referral code get 10% off trading fees, bringing the standard rate from 0.50% to 0.45%. Here's what that's worth at your trade size.
The discount reduces the fee, not the trade. If you buy $1,000 of a token, you're still buying $1,000 of it. Only the fee drops, from $5.00 to $4.50.
Solana fees: why small trades cost more
On Solana, Fomo's fee depends on which route is available when your trade executes. It's a percentage with a minimum, not a flat charge, and the route can change from trade to trade.
| Trade size | Lowest-fee route | Other routes |
|---|---|---|
| Under 5 USDC | 0.10 USDC | 0.50%, minimum 0.95 USDC |
| 5 to 47.50 USDC | 2% | 0.50%, minimum 0.95 USDC |
| 47.50 to 190 USDC | 0.95 USDC | 0.50%, minimum 0.95 USDC |
| 190 USDC and up | 0.50% | 0.50%, minimum 0.95 USDC |
In practice, a 20 USDC trade costs 0.40 USDC (2%) on the lowest-fee route and 0.95 USDC on other routes. From 190 USDC upward, both routes come to 0.50%. The trade-off is that Fomo covers Solana's network gas, priority fees and token rent, the one-time cost of opening a token account the first time you buy a token.
Network fees on other chains
On every chain except Solana, you pay the network fee on top of Fomo's 0.50%. It appears in your quote before you confirm. When the network fee is a large share of a trade, the app asks you to confirm before the trade goes through.
Costs that aren't Fomo's fee
- Token contract fees. Some tokens have fees built into their smart contracts, for example tokens from certain launchpads. Their creators set them, not Fomo.
- Price impact. On thin liquidity, a large order moves the price. Fomo's quote reflects significant price impact before you confirm. Our token research guide explains how to read it.
- Perps funding. Open perps positions pay or receive hourly funding, separate from trading fees.
Deposit and withdrawal costs
- Deposits. Fomo's help center doesn't publish a fee schedule for card or Apple Pay deposits. Check the amount on the payment screen before you confirm. If you send USDC from an exchange, the exchange may charge its own withdrawal fee.
- US bank withdrawals. Standard takes 1 to 3 business days. Faster arrives the same day if started between 9 AM and 5 PM ET on a business day, for an additional fee. The minimum is $5.
- Crypto withdrawals. Withdrawals on networks other than Solana have a minimum amount, which the app shows if you go under it.
- Moving money to perps. Transfers between your token and perps balances are free. The minimum is 5 USDC in and 2 USDC out.
Minimum sells and "dust"
Very small positions can't be sold in the app, because the blockchain fees would cost more than the position is worth. The minimum sell is 2 USDC on most networks and 5 USDC on Ethereum. The app hides holdings under $2 by default; you can show them with "Show hidden" on mobile or "Show dust" on the web.
How Fomo's fees compare
Fee levels differ a lot between trading apps and terminals, and so does what you get for them. We compare published fees and features side by side in Fomo vs Axiom and Fomo vs GMGN.
